Infantry Assault Badge

This document is an Assault badge certificate was changed to be an INFANTRY Assault Badge, this was common.
If the proper document was not available field made ones were done on the back of other awards or on blank paper.
This document is a late war document. This is printed on a low grade, newsprint like paper. Earlier examples in my collection
are usually on thicker, almost light cardstock paper.
Most award documents were typed, occasionally they were done in calligraphy. I have never seen handwritten documents except
for some issued after May 1945 (for the Lapland Shield for example) or for Naval issued documents.
The text of the document is translated as follows:
Award Certificate

is award the Infantry Assault Badge
