The personal effects of the killed Uffz.Kurt Simon of 8./208

This is a list of the personal effects returned to the Johan Simon, father of killed Uffz. Kurt Simon.  This is a good example of the things a Soldat would carry with him.

1.  A wallet with pictures.

2.  A dagger.

3.  A fountain pen with mechanical pencil.

4.  Mirror.

5.  Glasses.

6.  Cigarette Case.

7.  Comb.

8.  Funny things (?). Joke book maybe?

9.  Note book.

10.  Wound Badge.

11.  4 pencils.

12.  Envelope w/ photos.

13.  Fountain Pen (broken).

14.  Westwall remembrance item

15.  Arm band.

16.  Money pouch with:

        1 broche, 1 russian Kopeke (money), 1 ring, 20 Rubel (money),  2 pieces French money, RM 81.10 in Reichskreditschein

 

Unteroffizier Kurt Simon was born on the 13th of August, 1918.  He lived in Neunkirche/Saar.  He was killed on June 2nd, 1942 in Werbowka, and is buried

at the Sammelfriedhof in Charkow, Ukranie Block 5, Row 2, Grave 129.

This is the envelope that the personal effects inventory came in.  It was a Registered letter from Oblt. Albrecht, Uffz. Simon's commanding officer.
