Truppenausweis

The Truppenausweis was a precursor to the Soldbuch. It included the bearer's description, rank, unit, validation stamps, and photo of the bearer. During the Mobilization for the
Polish Campaign (Summer 1939) the Soldbuch went into widespread use.
Wachtmeister Alfred Schott was issued this Ausweis on July, 8th 1938. The Wachtmeister was in the Austrian Army before the Anschluß as noticed by the Austrian Military
stamp on the photo and the uniform worn is a re-badged Austrian one.
